Join us on April 25th, 2026 for the first ever Tamiya Mini4WD Grand Prix!
Competition will be held for Box Stock, Stock, and Open classes.
Open to the public. No track use or car entry fees. Please see event details below for more information about participation.
No Registration needed prior to the event, however, please fill out the following survey to help us plan the best event possible.
This survey is purely optional and does ask for or require any personal information. It is not required you fill out the survey to participate in any GP event, nor must you participate in any GP event to fill out the survey. It is designed to help us better understand the state of the Mini4WD hobby in our region and more broadly across the US so that we can best accomodate racers at this and future events. Please consider taking the time to participate, share, and encourage others to do so as well so that we can build this hobby together.

9:00AM- Track opens/registration opens
9:30AM- Pre-race Briefing**
Class Registration close/race times- TBA
**Note** all participants must attend the Pre-Race Briefing regardless of which Competition Class they intend to compete. If any participant cannot attend the Pre-Race Briefing, they must notify the race officials prior to the event so they can be accomodated.
Note Regarding Open track:
There will be no open track in the competition layout prior to race day. Machines can be tested prior to their race inspection on race day. We will do our best to allow the maximum time for testing the race schedule allows and will do our best to make sure everyone has equal opportunity. However, please be aware that test time might be limited depending on the number of participants.

Questions Regarding Class Restrictions
In order to facilitate fairness and easy participation, we do our best to ensure that we honor the regulations as best we can during inspection and races. In the event of any specific rules question, please refer to Tamiya Rules and Regulations, following the link below. Final authority for any dispute rest with the race day judges. In the event there is no clear ruling via the regulation, we will determine the specific ruling in the manner that is most fair to all participating in that race competition class. Do not hesitate to ask any question, and we will do our best to help your machine be race ready in your chosen class.
Please be aware- there is no longer a 180g maximum weight limit to machines in the official GP rules.
Batteries
Please be aware and follow the rules regarding battery restrictions. No Lithium (Li-ion) batteries allowed. Dry cell (alkaline) batteries and rechargable Ni-MH batteries rated at or below 1900mah only. In the interest of simplicity, the following rechargable batteries are allowed: Tamiya Neochamp, Fujitsu Pink, Fujitsu White, Eneloop White* Rechargeable batteries other than this type will need to disply a suitable mah rating on their lable to be allowed. High capacity batteries such as Duracell, Energizer, and Eneloop Pro are not allowed.

*note* For the SE Regional, we will allow the use of Eneloop White. However, please be aware that other GP events may not considner this battery to be within limits. Please refer to the specific event location for any question about battery suitability.
